***Lake Bentonville is currently closed to the public as it undergoes a major renovation project. This park will remain closed through spring 2020. During the time, extensive additions and improvements will be made to the public park.
These additions include:
- New destination playground
- Pavilion (available for rentals)
- Additional fishing opportunities
- Water recreation (such as canoeing and paddleboarding)
- New paved parking lot
As part of the project, the current dam around Lake Bentonville will be removed allowing the size of the lake to expand beyond its current size. Boardwalks are being added around the lake for patrons to enjoy.
In addition, the design of the park works in collaboration with the new Osage Park property being constructed adjacent to Lake Bentonville. This private project will be open and available for public use. The design of the overall properties was done in such that the two properties flowed together seamlessly allow one continual use by the park visitor.
Bentonville Parks and Recreation apologizes for this inconvenience. However, we believe that this project will transform Lake Bentonville and the surrounding area, into one of the most attractive parks in northwest Arkansas.***
