Bentonville, AR… The Run Bentonville Half Marathon, presented by The Walmart Museum, will take place on March 30, 2019. This event continues to be Northwest Arkansas’ largest running event each year. In 2019, we expect over 3,000 participants to compete in the Half Marathon, Relay, and 5k race.
The weekend festivities will kick off with the Health & Wellness Expo + Packet Pickup event, presented by Aquaphor, on Friday, March 29. This event will take place at Record in Downtown Bentonville, located at 104 SW A St. Along with packet pick-up for all races, the expo will feature several of the event sponsors along with leaders in the local health and wellness space. The Expo will be open from 10:00 am-7:00 pm. This event is open to the public.
The Run Bentonville Half Marathon, Relay, and 5k will begin at 7:00 am on Saturday, March 30. Road closures include 2nd St., NE A St., and a section of the northbound lane on Walton. These closures will begin around 6:30 am. Those traveling on these roads can expect a slight delay. Other road closures along the course will be on a rolling schedule. Roads are expected to reopen as soon as runners are clear. The half marathon and relay will start on Central Ave, right off the Bentonville Downtown Square. The 5k will begin on Main Street. All races finish on the Downtown Square in front of the historic Walton Five and Dime.
As runners make their 13.1 mile trek around Bentonville, the Downtown Square will begin the celebration with festivities and fun for family members and spectators to enjoy. This celebration will also include live music from the band, Dial Up!
