Bentonville, AR...The City of Bentonville Transportation Department would like to invite you to provide feedback in an online survey of two proposed Bikeway Designs, 8th Street Bikeway and NW 3rd Street Bikeway.
The 8th Street Bikeway design includes the addition of a two-way separated bike lane on the south side of SW 8th Street from the Applegate Trail near SW Arrowhead Drive to SW I Street and the trail that leads to Osage Park. It also incorporates the extension of a shared use path on SW 8th Street from SW Sims Drive to SW Arrowhead Drive to connect to the existing Applegate trail. This project repurposes the existing street to include an on-street bikeway. The bikeway is separated by both a horizontal buffer and vertical elements.
The NW 3rd Street Bikeway design includes the addition of directional separated bike lanes on NW 3rd Street from Coler Mountain Bike Preserve to NW O Street and a two-way separated bike lane on the north side of NW 3rd Street from NW O Street to NW Walton Boulevard. This project repurposes the existing street to include an on-street bikeway. The bikeway is separated by both a horizontal buffer and vertical elements.
