Homeschool Hub PE

Physical Education is an essential part of overall learning and development for all students, including homeschool students.  Come learn basic locomotor skills in this 8-week Physical Education class taught by Salle-Anne Gilchrist, a physical education teacher with a Masters in Kinesiology and 14 years teaching experience.  We will focus on a variety of sports including, but not limited to, basketball and soccer, and will also learn the importance of lifetime physical activities such as golf and tennis.  We will concentrate on games that develop essential locomotor skills and that can continued to be played to practice the skill sets learned.  Join us for this exciting PE opportunity for the Homeschool Community!

Date: April 4 – May 23
Class takes place on Tuesdays
Time: 1:00pm – 2:00pm (Grades 1st – 2nd)
           2:00pm – 3:00pm (Grades 3rd – 6th)
Location: Bentonville Community Center
Cost: $60 member / $65 non-member

Homeschool Hub Swim Day

Swim, splash, and play!  Come join us for a fun swim day!  Enjoy a day of swimming and fun at the Bentonville Community Center with other home-schooled families in NWA!
First Friday of Every Month
Time: 1:00 – 3:00pm
Age: All homeschooled children and families
Location: Bentonville Community Center Leisure Pool
Cost: FREE for Members / Day-pass for non-members (Day pass is $5 residents/$6 non-residents) 

Homeschool Hub Camp Lego

Solar Windmill:

Take a journey through history and learn the about the first windmill built, different types of windmills, and the most current uses of the windmill! Learn about the history of the windmill from the original windmill to the solar powered windmills and their many ways of creating energy!  On this exciting journey, we will visit the 14th century Netherlands, 19th century Germany, 20th Century Great Britain, and 21st century Americas where we will build a motor powered windmill! Students will learn about energy, electricity, pumping water and so much more!
