Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art at BCC

All programs are taught at the Bentonville Community Center by Crystal Bridges' Art Instructors.

Art Chefs

See what's cooking in the art studio! Learn about art "ingredients" to create your own masterpieces. See how artists in Crystal Bridges' permanent collection use these "ingredients," and then experiment with color mixing, lines, and shapes. All supplies included.
When: November 7th-December 5th (No class for 11/21)

My Grown-up and Me! Ages 2-4 (9:00am-9:45am) - Child with an adult partner

Preschool Art

Discover the art of American master Stuart Davis! Mix art & music, still life, shapes, collage, and more! All supplies uncluded. 
When: November 7th-December 5th

After School Art

Learn all about sculpture at Crystal Bridges, including artworks by Alexander Calder, Roxy Paine, and Nancy Grossman! Use clay, Model Magic, wire, and cardboard to create your own spectacular sculptures. All supplies included.
When: October 3rd-October 24th and November 7th-December 5th
Ages: 5-12 year olds
Times Offered: 3:30pm-4:30pm and 5:30pm-6:30pm

 

Additional Classes Offered at the Bentonville Community Center 

Digital Photography

If you want to learn photography or just need a refresher this class is for you! This 6-week class will cover basic photographic skills & techniques. Classes offer instruction and discussion on camera functions, lenses, exposure & different lighting situations.
We will discuss composition, photographing different subjects, the differences between software that are available, how to handle raw files and file storage, and demonstrate how to do minor fixes to photographs. Come join us and learn how to take great photographs!
