Welcome to the City of Bentonville web-site. Bentonville is an old-line Arkansas community experiencing very rapid growth over the last 15 years. Our community continues to make every effort to ensure our utility infrastructure maintains pace with the ever increasing demands of residential and commercial growth.

The City purchases treated water from the Beaver Water District in Lowell, Arkansas. The water source is Beaver Lake located largely in Benton County. The Bentonville Water Utility supplies water to the adjacent Bella Vista community. Our water quality and delivery pressure are both excellent and ample storage capacity is available for peak loads and emergencies. We are currently in the process of constructing a new 48" transmission supply pipeline designed to serve the City for at least the next 20 years.

Bentonville owns and operates a 5 million gallon per day extended aeration wastewater plant. The plant maintains strict effluent limits year around. A composting facility is also operated by the City, which converts biosolids and woodwaste products into a class "A" compost for sale to the public.

Bentonville is also a member of the Northwest Arkansas Conservation Authority which is aggressively pursuing the construction of a Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant designed to accommodate the future growth of Bentonville and many surrounding communities.
