BRIEF JOB SUMMARY:
Duties
include operating and monitoring radio dispatch, telephone and computers
systems; receiving, logging and dispatching calls to appropriate personnel.
Eight-hour set shifts (days, evenings, nights) with rotating days off. This is a
“Night Shift” position working either 2:00PM - 10:00PM or 10:00PM – 6:00AM T.D.B.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School
diploma or equivalent, the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure, to
successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with good communications and
computer skills.

Powerline ElectricianSALARY LEVEL:
92/93JOB LOCATION and/or CITY DEPARTMENTElectric
BRIEF JOB SUMMARY:
Performs skilled technical
construction and maintenance work on overhead and underground high-voltage
electrical distribution systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school
diploma or GED; completion of four-year apprentice program, and completion of
hot line schools and seminars. Knowledge of the methods, practices, tools and
equipment of power line construction, maintenance and repair, and of electricity
as applied to distribution systems. Ability to train and supervise Apprentice
Powerline Electricians and Electric Groundworkers. Must be able to work at
moderate heights and climb poles, work under adverse weather conditions, and
work with high and low voltage. Must possess valid CDL and be able/willing to
work “On Call”.
