Hiring
Process
The hiring
process for both career and part-paid positions is the same and involves
passing a standardized written exam. Those who pass the written exam are
invited to go through the physical agility exam, click
here to view some of our physical
testing photos.
Once a
position becomes available, the Fire Chief will interview eligible
candidates. After a job offer is made, the successful candidate will then
be required to pass a firefighter physical exam and drug screen as performed
by the clinic contracted by the city to perform the exams.
NOTE:
Entry level testing occurs twice a year.
