City of Bentonville Launches Revamped Website and Smart Phone App
Posted: March 11 2014
Bentonville, AR – March 10, 2014…The City of Bentonville has launched a redesigned website. The website address is the same, www.bentonvillear.com, but the design and layout is new with expanded content and improved graphics. A search feature has been added along with one-click access to paying utility bills and reporting power outages.
Last spring, city departments collaborated to revamp the city’s website. Staff desired to not only update the appearance, but ensure that the site is timely and easy to navigate. Last February, the city contracted with Mass Enthusiasm to redesign the site. Mass Enthusiasm is a full service design and marketing firm out of Little Rock, Arkansas. They were selected based on recent experience in website and app design for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas. Mass Enthusiasm recently won one Gold and three Bronze design awards from the Little Rock Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF).
“As part of ongoing efforts to provide relevant and essential information to the community, the new website is designed for residents, businesses and visitors to easily access online resources about Bentonville’s municipal services,” states Mayor Bob McCaslin.
In addition to the redesigned website, Mass Enthusiasm is working closely with the Electric Department to develop a smart phone application that will provide a simple and quick method for the public to report power outages. This app should be available on I-tunes within a few months.
