City to Install New Water and Sewer Lines
on West Central from A Street to Walton Blvd.

Bentonville, AR…On Monday, February 13th, the City of Bentonville Water Utilities Department will be closing West Central between A Street and Walton Blvd for approximately 7 weeks in order to replace the water and sanitary sewer infrastructure located in West Central.
During construction of this project through traffic will need to follow the described detours. All south bound traffic on Walton Boulevard that needs to go east will use NW 2nd Street. All north bound traffic on Walton Boulevard that needs to go east will use SW 2nd Street. All west bound traffic on Central that needs to go north on Walton Boulevard will use NW 2nd to Walton Boulevard. All west bound traffic on Central that needs to go south on Walton Boulevard will use SW A Street to SW 14th Street (Hwy 102) and go West on SW 14th Street (Hwy 102) to Walton Boulevard. West bound traffic that needs to continue to go west on Central will use NW 2nd Street to North Walton Boulevard and go north to NW 3rd Street and turn west on NW 3rd Street to Elm Tree Rd. and go south on Elm Tree Rd. to W. Central or Hwy 72 West. East bound traffic on Central/Hwy 72W that needs to continue to go east on Central will turn north on Walton Boulevard and turn east on NW 2nd Street to NW A Street and go south on NW A Street to East Central.
This street closure is the final phase of a project that consists of replacing the existing water and sanitary sewer infrastructure that is located in West Central from SW A Street to Walton Boulevard. The estimated completion date is March 31. A project status map will be available on the City of Bentonville web site here and will provide future street closings and a construction progress report.
During this street closure, all residents on West Central between A and Walton Boulevard will be allowed to enter and exit their driveways.
