Storm Debris Collection

Bentonville, AR…The City of Bentonville will conduct a city-wide clean-up of storm debris from the April 26th thunderstorm starting Monday, May 8, 2017.  City crews will collect vegetative debris (limbs, sticks, leaves) in accordance with the following:

• All debris must be ready for collection by 7:00 a.m., Monday, May 8.
• Debris must be placed within 4 to 10 feet from back of curb or edge of pavement.  Please keep debris out of drainage ditches and roadways.
• Tree limbs, shrubs, tree trunks, etc. shall not exceed 6 feet in length or 24 inches in diameter. Stumps will not be collected.

Please note: The City’s staff will not pick-up or remove household waste, hazardous waste, furniture, appliances, fluids, tires, or any non-vegetative waste or material.  As a safety precaution, the City asks that residents please keep debris out of drainage ditches and streets and away from fire hydrants, gas meters, telephone pedestals, water meters, mailboxes, etc.

Collection will begin 7:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, and will continue until all streets have been traveled once.  City will not repeat routes to collect storm debris placed after 7:00 am, Monday, May 8.
Bentonville property owners may take material to the City’s Compost Facility located at 2000 NW A Street during normal operating hours.  Residents will need a current utility bill and picture ID for verification of residency.  Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.   For complete details on what types of materials are acceptable, please go to the City’s website; the link is http://www.bentonvillear.com/department/compost-facility/.
Due to the large volume of material, the City will not accept waste from commercial haulers beginning May 8 and until further notice.
