The park was named after Ernest G. Lawrence, who
served as Bentonville's Mayor from 1970 to 1974. Mr. Lawrence was a
founding board member of the Helen Walton Children's Enrichment Center and the
Peel House Foundation. He also served on the Bentonville School Board and
was a member of the Bentonville Rotary Club.
Splash Park:
The splash park is an interactive water park that
features more than 80 fountain jets, and is for people of all ages.
The park season begins in May and is open through mid September.
This public fun spot operates 7 days a week from 9:00AM to 10:00PM, with
the exception of the first Friday event held each month. First
Friday details coming soon.
2013 Season:
May 11 - September 15 9:00AM - 10PM
There will be a Life Guard on duty
Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day. Reservations are not available during
Splash Park season. |

The Rink at Lawrence Plaza opened November 20, 2010 and
has been a permanent winter fun spot for all ages.
Part of the programming for Lawrence Plaza is "Movie Night at the Rink"
where
Bentonville Parks and Recreation hosts a family friendly movie on a 25 foot
inflatable "outdoor" screen, free to the public.
