Bentonville Parks & recreation softball program

Program Description

Bentonville Parks and Recreation offers a recreation youth softball program for girls ages 4 (four) to 18 (eighteen). 

This fast pitch softball program is part of a new comprehensive approach to community recreation programming, sponsored by Bentonville Parks and Recreation, and is being provided in cooperation with the Bentonville Youth Softball League.

Our Department's youth sport programs focuses on participation, sportsmanship and skill development.

The season begins with several practices, followed by two games per week., which will include games that are played on Saturday. 

Registration is currently underway for the Spring Season.   All new participants are assigned to a team through a coaches draft.  Players returning from the previous spring who wish to remain on the same team will be allowed to do if possible.

Spring Softball Tryouts/Assessment:

Volunteer coaches are screened and trained by Bentonville Parks and Recreation.

Anyone interested in coaching, or assisting  the coaching staff, is required to complete the
Volunteer Application Form and the ASA Background Check Form.  You must submit these forms, along with a copy of your drivers license, and a $17 background check fee (check, money order, Credit/Debit Card, or cash), to the Bentonville Parks & Recreation Dept., located at 215 SW "A" St.   Please question or verify the volunteer deadline date prior to submitting your application.

Registration

Practices and games will be during the week, in the evening and on Saturdays. All practices and games will take place at either Memorial or Phillips Park.

Leagues and Registration Fees

Costs for Multiple Children:   Two - $90    Three - $105    Four or more - Contact Parks and Recreation.  If the multiple children fee does not apply via the online registration, please mail in or drop off  your registration form with payment.

Registration fees must be received at time of registration.  Once team assignments are made and uniforms are ordered, registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

NOTE:   If your child has never played softball or registered with Bentonville Parks & Recreation or the Bentonville Youth Softball League, please include a copy of the child's birth certificate. If registering online you may mail the certificate to 215 SW "A" Bentonville, fax to 479-271-5970, or email to cross@bentonvillear.com, indicating you have registered online.

• Register Online (Online registration has ended for this program.  To register you must do so via one of the above options. Mailed registrations not postmarked by 2/15/12 will need to include a $10 late fee with the registration fee.)
