Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is a group of seven citizens who have been appointed by the Mayor. Their duties include:
1. Reviewing preliminary plats and large-scale development plans for conformance to the Municipal Code.
2. Reviewing final plats for conformance to the Municipal Code and recommending their approval to the City Council.
3. Reviewing rezoning requests and recommending their approval/disapproval to the City Council.
4. Reviewing use appeals and conditional use permits.
5. Preparing a general plan which includes a land use and street plan and reviewing proposed developments for their
conformance to these plans.
The Planning Commission is responsible for administering Title 14 Zoning and Title 15 Subdivision Regulations of
the Municipal Code. All decisions by the Planning Commission are subject to appeal to the City Council.

First and Third Tuesday of each month
