Utility Billing and Collections
City Utilities Information
To get signed up for City Utilities (Electric, Water, Sewer, & Trash) you will
need to visit the Utility office located in the City Hall building in downtown
Bentonville, 117 W Central Avenue. See below for security deposit and rate
information.Deposits
General Information:
Residential Customers:
If you have had residential service with the City of Bentonville at
another location and you had no more than two late payments during the
last twelve months of service you may qualify for no deposit.
You may also qualify to have your deposit waived with a letter of
reference from your current utility if you have had service for twelve
months with no more than two late payments.
Commercial & Industrial Customers:
If you have had commercial service with the City of Bentonville at
another location and you had no more than two late payments during the
last twelve months of service you may qualify for no deposit.
If a deposit is required, you may choose to provide a Irrevocable
Commercial Letter of Credit from a financial institution, rather than
presenting a cash deposit with the City of Bentonville.
Your deposit is based on the average utility bill at the location you
are requesting service.
All Customers:
If you have had a utility account turned over to a collection agency,
filed bankruptcy on a City of Bentonville utility account or your final
utility bill is more than 15 days past the due date, your deposit is
twice the standard deposit amount.
