This City Council appointed board serves in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Staff and City Council on policy matters pertaining to the urban forest and landscaping. The committee coordinates the spring and fall tree giveaways, selects landscape awards, and assists in tree education and preservation. Applicants must be a registered voter, reside in the corporate limits of Bentonville and able to attend regularly scheduled monthly meetings, plus occasional special meetings. Preferred applicants are professionals in fields such as forestry, botany, horticulture and landscape architecture. Members serve three year terms.
