Women's Self Defense Class

"Self Defense is 90% Mental and 10% Physical"

The Bentonville Police Department is excited to host this free course designed to educate and empower the female citizens of our community. 

  1. 1 Women Stand in Self Defense Stance
  2. 2 Women's Self Defense Training Class
  3. 3 Women Practice Self Defense

Offering up to four classes per year, this 9-hour classroom and hands-on course teaches the self-defense techniques throughout a period of three days, 3-hour evenings, for the convenience of our participant’s busy schedules. The Bentonville Police Department will post class dates and times as they are scheduled.

For those who are not selected for the initial session, we are creating a standby list and will notify you about future class dates.  This site will be updated as classes become available.

Eligibility

Due to certain restrictions, participants must be at least 14 years old to enroll in this class and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. In addition, we encourage participants to take part in the hands-on physical training exercises. Participants should consider their own level of physical fitness and ability before enrolling, along with the 3 day commitment.

Dress Code

Because we conduct this training in the Bentonville Police Department’s Community Room, we ask participants to come dressed in appropriate gym/workout attire or comfortable clothes suitable for physical activity.
