Special Event Volunteer Opportunities

Letters to Santa Claus - Late November / Early December

Volunteers are needed to assist in the Letters to Santa Program. Starting in mid November, we leave a mailbox out for children to put in letters to Santa, located at the Lawrence Plaza Ice Rink. Volunteers take those letters and write back a handwritten letter as "Santa" in response. Examples and stationary are provided. We ask that the volunteers are adults with legible handwriting. This is a great way to get in some volunteer hours and spread some holiday cheer. To get involved, please contact Chris Cuchia in the Parks & Recreation Department, via email or phone at (479) 464-7275.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

 Adopt-A-Street (Limited Availability)

This program is a partnership between the city and the community to keep the city free of litter, one street at a time. Participants adopt a street that is 1/2-mile or more in length and are asked to volunteer a minimum of three (3) times per year.
