Bentonville, AR… The City of Bentonville is pleased to announce the successful repair of the 48-inch main water line that serves the community. The conserve water alert for Bentonville residents and businesses has been lifted. Following an unexpected incident on April 2nd, 2024, wherein a contractor inadvertently caused damage to the water line near Highway 112 and Wallis Road, swift action was taken to address the issue.

Crews worked diligently around the clock to conduct the necessary repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to the water supply for Bentonville while an emergency connection from the city of Rogers served Bentonville. The repair process involved coordination with various stakeholders, including neighboring cities and contractors, whose assistance was instrumental in expediting the restoration of normal service.

"We are delighted to report that the repair work on the 48-inch water line has been successfully completed, and normal water service has been restored to the City of Bentonville," stated Bentonville Mayor Stephanie Orman. Water Utilities Director Mike Bender says, "We extend our sincere gratitude to our citizens for their patience and cooperation during this time, as well as to our neighboring cities and contractors for their invaluable support."

The City of Bentonville acknowledges the inconvenience caused by the temporary water conservation measures implemented during the repair period. With the successful completion of the repair work, the Conserve Water Alert has been lifted, and residents and businesses can resume their normal water usage routines.

As always, the City of Bentonville remains committed to ensuring the reliability and integrity of its infrastructure to meet the needs of its residents and businesses.
