Bookie Monster Gets a Home: RJW Logistics Group Contributes $50,000 to Name Renovated Book Sorter Room
Bentonville, AR – August 9, 2024. Bentonville Public Library (BPL) and Bentonville Library Foundation (BLF) are happy to announce naming rights have been claimed to the book sorter room by RJW Logistics Group (RJW) with a donation of $50,000 as part of the ongoing fundraising campaign for the expansion and renovation of BPL.
The RJW Logistics Group Book Return is located inside the front door to the right. This room features a 7-foot by 9-foot window where patrons can see the new Tech Logic book sorter, recently named Bookie Monster through a community-wide contest. The space is also used by staff and volunteers for circulation operations.
RJW has a history of supporting BPL, sponsoring the annual Books and Bikes, Fat Tire Criterium, and already contributing $12,000 to the ongoing expansion and renovation, claiming the naming rights to one of the 4-person meeting rooms that will be located in the Community Hub and Business Center.
RJW will present a check to BLF this Tuesday, August 13 at 10 a.m. at BPL Downtown.
BPL would like to thank Teresa Stafford, Executive Director of BLF, and Jackie Marzano, Vice President of Retail Sales at RJW and BLF Board Member, for facilitating the donation.
“The new book return room, with Bookie Monster and the bustle of library operations visible through the large window, is such a great feature at our library. We are thrilled we get to be a part of that joy,” said Marzano.
The campaign to fund $16.75 million for construction costs for the expansion and renovations to existing areas is at 98% with this donation. Spaces still available for naming include Digital Lab ($25,000) and Digital Creation Hub ($12,000), Adult Study and Meeting Rooms ($10,000-15,000), Children’s Study Rooms ($12,000-15,000), Administrative Offices ($10,000), Youth Book Displays ($2,500-5,000), and native trees ($1,000).
