Art Installation – The Physics of Being “HERE”

Bentonville, AR……. In partnership with Bentonville Parks and Recreation, the Bentonville Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC) is announcing a recent art installation at Creekside Park. The Physics of Being (“HERE”) is a wood structure made with exterior composite siding, hardware, and concrete. The piece was designed and constructed by Justin Tyler Tate, an international artist with projects exhibited worldwide.

HERE is a public artwork which allows viewers to define their own interpretation of existence across both space and time. Measuring 17 feet high by 19 feet wide, the exaggerated scale of the installation makes for a perfect photo backdrop by pinpointing a specific spot on the map. It easily relates to the common phrase “You Are Here”, offering a moment of awareness and appreciation of being in a designated place and time.

The installation site, Creekside Park – home to Bentonville’s first regulation cricket field, is located at 3104 SW Bright Road.
