BENTONVILLE SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT
ON THE CHARACTER OF THE DOWNTOWN SQUARE
Bentonville, AR – The Bentonville City Council adopted the Bentonville Future Land Use Map in February as a key component of its long-term planning efforts. As part of its adoption, the council requested a closer evaluation of the downtown square to ensure its continued alignment with the city’s future vision.
Designated as the City Center place type, the downtown square holds a unique and historic role in the heart of Bentonville. With its distinctive character and cultural significance, the City is exploring strategies to preserve and enhance the square’s identity for future generations.
To involve the public in this important initiative, the City will host a community meeting on May 28, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Rotary Room of the Bentonville Public Library. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and share what they value most about the square, as well as suggest ideas for maintaining its special character. Please let us know you’ll be attending by visiting this link: https://bit.ly/4jKJAs5.
Public feedback will play a vital role in shaping future planning efforts and ensuring that the downtown square continues to thrive as a vibrant, authentic centerpiece of the Bentonville community.
