[ARCHIVED] Event Postponement: Third Annual Bentonville Together Celebration

Event Postponed

Bentonville, AR……. Bentonville Parks and Recreation made the difficult decision to postpone Bentonville Together: A Multicultural Community Festival. The 3rd annual celebration, highlighting art, music, customs, and traditions from around the world, was scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Orchards Park.

As stated by Mayor Stephanie Orman, “Bentonville Together is designed to bring the community together. People from all different backgrounds converging on one site, one park, to celebrate our welcoming and inclusive community. With the current and forecasted weather conditions, the event would not provide residents the intended experience. As a result, we have elected to postpone tomorrow’s event.”

A future event date and confirmed location will be communicated to the public in the weeks to follow. The rescheduled Bentonville Together festival will be identical in format with exhibitors, on-stage performances, crafts, food trucks, “hands on” activations and more. The goal is to offer an enriching and educational experience to the community by celebrating the many cultures who call Bentonville home.

As a reminder, the Bentonville Public Art Advisory Committee recently approved a new art installation titled, Caminos: Celebrando la Vida y el Legado (Pathways: Celebrating Life and Legacy)” by artist Briseida “Brioch” Ochoa. Look for the colorful, acrylic painted mural on display now in Orchards Park.
