Bentonville...Bentonville Parks and Recreation is proud to announce that the holiday light display on the Downtown Square has officially begun.
Our Parks Maintenance team began installation of the lights at the Downtown Square on September 8, 2020. Over the course of three months, this team has devoted 2675 man-hours to install the 1.2 million lights. Their work has created a magical display that includes 46 miles of lights on the trees, ground, fountain, light poles, and the buildings that make up the downtown square.
This year, we are excited to announce the addition of an animated Christmas tree to the display. This tree stands 24 ft. in height and is made up of hundreds of lights that will dance to songs such as Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Jingle Bell Rock.
Over the next few months, we encourage our citizens and visitors to plan a trip downtown to enjoy the light display and visit our downtown merchants. We want to thank our community partners, Visit Bentonville and Downtown Bentonville Inc., who make this holiday tradition possible each year.
The last night of the light display will be New Year’s Day, January 1, 2021.
