Operations Division
Officers assigned to the Operations Division serve as a support unit to general operations of the department, outside of the Patrol or Criminal Investigation Divisions. Additionally, the Operations Division takes lead for Public Safety planning for numerous events throughout the city from races, parades, security details, etc. The division is led by Captain Tony Marveggio and consist of the following positions:
- Operations Captain
- Operations Lieutenant
- Operations Sergeant
- Traffic Sergeant
- Traffic Officers (5)
- Bomb Squad -EOD K9
- School Resource Officers (5)
- Warrants Officer
- Bailiff / Probation Officer
- Fleet Manager
- City Airport Goose Dog program
- Public Information Officer
- K-9 Teams (2)
- Animal Services
Several collateral duties and responsibilities of officers assigned within the department also fall under the Operations Division to ensure they are meeting overall training requirements at a department, state, and federal level. These additional responsibilities include the following:
