Bentonville Parks & Recreation

Bentonville Parks and Recreation offers a softball program for players ages 5-16. BPR Softball focuses on participation, sportsmanship, skill development, and fun!

All coaches are volunteers and must pass a background check.

Players who play Fall 2025 and register for Spring 2026 will stay on their same team and use the same uniforms for both seasons.

Where You Play 

Merchants Park | 6U - Located at 201 Elm Tree Road

Memorial Park | 8U-16U - Located at 401 NW Martin Luther King Jr Parkway

BPR Softball primarily takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and occasionally Saturdays.

Team Formation

When you register, you will be asked to rate your player based on their skill level in the following areas:

  • Pitching
  • Catching
  • Throwing
  • Hitting
  • Fielding

Players will be placed on teams based on their ratings through the registration process. Teams can remain on the same team for both the fall and spring season. 

Uniforms & Awards

All registered players will receive a jersey and socks. Fall players continuing in the spring will wear their same uniform from fall. At the end of each season, players will receive an award.

Coaches 

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteer coaches for every age group in our league. Please consider coaching your child's team. You will make a huge impact! To volunteer, please indicate your interest on your player's registration.

Sponsors

Please consider sponsoring a youth sports team to help support scholarships for our programs. Your company's name/logo will appear on your team's uniform. You can sponsor a team for $250. 

Turf Field Surface

The infields at the Memorial Park Baseball/Softball Complex are a synthetic turf surface. This means that no metal cleats are allowed on the fields. Rubber molded cleats are permitted, but turf shoes or tennis shoes are recommended on the synthetic turf surface.

Rain-outs / Cancellations

For up-to-date cancellations/field closings during inclement weather, please be sure to visit the Parks and Recreation Home Page where you can view the status of each field. 

To become instantly notified when a field has been closed, sign up to receive status updates via email or text.

Refunds

No Refunds will be issued after the close of registration.

If an unforeseen physical injury occurs, limiting participants’ ability to engage in a registered activity, Bentonville Parks and Recreation will work with the patron to assess the situation and identify appropriate action.  A physician’s note may be required for a refund request due to injury/illness.
