Goose Dog

The Airport Advisory Board spent a great deal of time in developing a plan to control geese at the airport.

With several accidents and "near misses," the board took great care in researching and trying many options. In the end, they voted to go with purchasing a "goose dog and handler."

Robin Fields and Maverick spend many hours a week chasing geese away from the airport and surrounding areas. This provides a much safer airport for our pilots and visitors.

Maverick was purchased in 2021 and received his name from a contest by Bentonville citizens.

The board hears from them every month for updates.
