Camp Clay
Get your hands dirty and learn the basics of handbuilding pottery with Fifth Street Studio! Students will make three projects from scratch and develop an understanding of the properties of clay. Students will learn to look to nature for inspiration, design their own concept, and bring it to life. We will cover techniques for decorating pottery including carving, molding, painting, and impressing textures. This class is great for middle school and early high school students looking to explore their creativity through the wonderful and expressive medium of clay.
Projects will be glazed and fired at Fifth Street Studio and will be available for pick up a few weeks after camp concludes.
